Sadly we have practically said goodbye to our little home. We are settled into our temporary home before take off & I would be lying if I said it has been easy…..

Now is the stage when, for emotionally aware types like myself, you are at your most heightened levels of stress.

You aren’t able to have the space you need to truly be yourself.
You are living out of a suitcase.
You aren’t used to the shower or the bed.
You can never assume you have free run of the place.
You dont have any wifi
Your morning/ evening routines are all but extinct
You truly begin to realise this is the existence you have another 4 months to get used to….

And you haven’t even flown out yet!

Think of all those creature comforts you truly look forward to after a hard day at the 9-5.
Cosy slippers… Hot tea or coffee… Painting your nails while watching your favourite movie….a toasty bath… Reading your latest book….Or even just lazing around your place naked as the day you were born.
Think about how good those things make you feel….
Now take them ALL away!

Your fav book/ movie, nail polishes & slippers are all boxed up.
Hot tea or coffee is never quite the same at someone else’s place.
You probably won’t get a bath as so many people are trying to use the bathroom.
And unless your not afraid of burning a few bridges (and eye sockets) don’t even THINK about nudity!

All this will be worth it once we are waking up, to these conditions, but with a gorgeous Parisian landscape out our bedroom window.
A new street or village to explore that day.
And new places to discover travel worthy creature comforts that will never be the same once you are home……. Whenever that will be!
